This panel is aimed at promoting a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary and inter-sector reflection/debate around some of the most pressing issues involving the complexity of Language, Multilingualism and Human Rights in translator/interpreter-mediated communications.
Experts, scholars and stakeholders from different research fields (translation and interpreting, linguistics, law and legal studies, social work, sociology, anthropology, pedagogy) address language, culture, translation and/or interpreting within the scope of migrants’ /minorities’ access to rights and Human Rights Adjudication in police/justice, asylum and migration procedures.
