The title of the blog is a direct homage to Peter Newmark, who, with his series of "paragraphs on translation", was already blogging on translation (though on paper) more than a quarter century ago. When I started this blog I thought it would help attract more visitors (and perhaps potential customers) to our company's web site. It has become, instead, a way to share my passion for this profession with others.

This site is completely bilingual and here you’ll find a blog on various subjects: language, English, French, translation and many others. Since 2003 I’ve been writing on all sorts of areas linked to translation and the life of a translator. Many of these posts, such as my article Advice to a translation student, have started fantastic exchanges of ideas with my readers; you’re very welcome to join in.

We (Judy and Dagmar Jenner) are a pair of identical translating and interpreting twins working in Spanish, German, English, and French (Dagmar only). We were born in Austria, grew up in a bilingual household in Mexico City, and run our translation, interpreting and copywriting business, Twin Translations, from Vegas and Vienna (Austria). In this blog, we dispense (useful) tips and tricks on how to run a translation and interpreting business. We frequently share what we know with fellow linguists via our "The Entrepreneurial Linguist" workshop.
