PORTVGALIA began its publication in 1980 and, since then, maintains an annual periodicity. PORTVGALIA aims to be a space for debate around the major theoretical and methodological issues of Archeology and to disseminate the latest results of archaeological research in its various chronological areas (Prehistory, Protohistory, Classical Archeology, Medieval Archeology and Modern Archeology and Contemporary).

Revista Portuguesa de História was created in 1941, within the scope of the Antonio de Vasconcelos Institute, which has been designated since 1975 as the Institute of Economic and Social History. It is committed to disseminating the results of historical research in the areas of Portuguese and World History, in the form of articles, critical reviews and news.

Revista de História da Sociedade e da Cultura, founded in 2001 in connection with the Center for the History of Society and Culture, is a history journal published annually. It publishes texts of historical nature without any temporal or thematic, national or international restrictions, and critical reviews of books and news of scientific activities in the same subject area.
